With the uncertainty surrounding house moves during Covid it was paramount that we had a team that were not only safe and responsive but honest and trust worthy. Village estates in Elstree delivered that in abundance. We’ve had some very average experiences with estate agents but Phil Merrit and his team delivered an exceptional service. Excellent communication and extremely knowledgeable with regards to the structural details of each property we viewed. Village sold our property for us, having secured the asking price a day or two after going on the market. Jack, Phil and the team were always great to deal with. We put this down to doing the simple things right, like personal service and the right level and quality of communication, but they are also clearly very accomplished at negotiating and keeping both parties ‘warm’. They always managed our expectations well and never over-promised on the sale price they could achieve, like many other agents in Borehamwood tend to do. In our experience many of Village’s local competitors could certainly take a few leaves out of Jack’s and Phil's books! We can’t recommend Phil and the team enough. We made a big move from Borehamwood down to Dorset in a very unstable market. We had already moved down into temporary accommodation for the kids to start school when the unthinkable happened and our whole chain collapsed right at the last hurdle. Within a week from the awful news and what felt like our world ending. Phil (from his hospital bed!), Jack, Sarah and Chelsey went into action and managed to secure a new buyer at the bottom of the chain. We completed two and a half weeks later (one week before Christmas) and our new life in our new home began all thanks to Villiage Estates and their determination to see the job through. If you are looking for a 6 star service, look no further than this! Despite being related to 50% of the team, I was able to see first hand how they operate. I can honestly say, there are not enough superlatives to describe them. We all know moving is not for the fainted hearted but I did not realise what was involved as it's been a long time since I moved! They are without doubt the most dedicated team, who take the stress and anxiety out of the selling process. They kept me informed every step of the way, provided me with regular feedback, walked and talked me through the exchange process, helped me organise all of the additional administrative processes that come hand in hand with selling your home and have handheld me to the exchange which is the hardest part. I thought I was getting the mates rates service but I can confirm, everyone gets this and I am proud to say, without reservation, I will be recommending them to anyone considering selling or buying property.
