Every time we visit we have a lovely time and an exceptional feed. The service is also very friendly and helpful. This is our go to pub for the area. We often walk up with our little dog, still for a drink or two and wonder back. For today as always, a very pleasant afternoon with the familiar face of Lotty and others. Thank you very much.
Dietary restrictions: Helpful to accommodate to suit your needs.
Parking: If the front looks busy, always worth looking round the back.

The booking system was easy and well set up.
We arrived a tad early but we’re greeted by a bunch of smiley workers!
Our server was called Lotty. She was outgoing, enthusiastic and really cared about her job & the service she gave. She was a chatty character and was really helpful with any questions we had regarding food, portion sizes & drinks.
The food was phenomenal as per usual!
Ps. Please don’t get rid of the “Mighty Burger”
It’s a favourite!!!
Thank you all so much!!
Parking: A lot of spaces available at the rear of the pub, along with the ones at the front!

Took my wife her for mother day and no complaints.
I had some pretty good fish and chips and her beef passed the muster

We booked a table at the Mops and Brooms for a Sunday roast today. Easy to park. The food was outstanding and all our plates were cleared! They were very busy but we were looked after very well by Lotty. She often came over to check on us and asked if everything was OK and if we needed anything else. Food and service was perfect - Thank you!

A brilliant meal. The roast beef/steak was one of the best I’ve ever tasted. Gorgeous. Lotty who served us was personable and attentive. Will definitely be back.
Vegetarian options: My wife loved her sweet potato veggie roast.
Kid-friendliness: Great for kids.

The Mops and Brooms is a lovely family friendly pub, tucked away in the Well End part of Borehamwood.
When you arrive, you are always greeted with a smile. There is a nice range of food and drink, all traditional fare but all of the highest quality. All the staff, especially Imogen; Jade and Ellie go out of their way to ensure you have the best experience, whether you are staying for a meal, or just relaxing with a drink.
Tables can be booked in advance if you are celebrating a special occasion and there are also event nights for those who want to enjoy some live music.
In my opinion it is the best pub in Borehamwood and is my go to place to relax. I can't rate this pub highly enough.
Vegetarian options: I haven't explored all the vegetarian and vegan options yet.
Dietary restrictions: There are always vegetarian options.
Parking: I haven't counted the number of car spaces but there is enough.
Kid-friendliness: There are always families during the day time enjoying a family gathering and excellent meal.

Visited for Sunday lunch, on this occasion but have never been disappointed with any dish served. Menu choice is great & value for money. All staff are polite & friendly (Jade served us this time.) This is a lovely pub whether you're going for a drink or something to eat.

A more upscale pub with a full menu. Nice outdoor seating with pasture views. It was a nice stroll from city center, away from the main thorofare. We had a pint and roast beef sandwich which was mediocre at best.
Update Nov 8 - Mops & Brooms reminds me of a nice country club. The atmosphere is elegant and well kept.
The wait staff is superb. The bar keeps are exemplary - Jade - the bar keep, crafted a custom cocktail 🍸🍹 upon request - and nailed the presentation.
The opportunity for improvement is the food. Both times we dined here we were not impressed. Which is sad because this place has everything going for it except the food. And with stiff competition in the area has to be impacting this establishment. It's just time to re-evaluate the menu, kitchen staff training, and vendor quality.
It is my honest opinion that Mops & Brooms could dominate the local pub business if it reassessed the food and its quality control. It has all the tools just a little more attention to detail and training in the kitchen.
