Recently attended Sara’s workshop for a team day. Even with ten of us there I felt the time and care that Sara took with each of us was perfect. We each had a go at throwing and creating a slab masterpiece (I hope). I will definitely return to try 121 as I found the experience both fun and tranquil which was much needed at that point. Thank you Sara.

Had the pleasure of attending a workshop at Sarah's studio a couple of weeks ago as part of a team day. We chose to make some platters and bowls with herbs pressed in to them and also a 45 minute session at the wheel. I've done 2 workshops before elsewhere, but what I loved about Sarah's approach was that it didn't matter if things went a bit off, this was about learning to react to the clay and enjoying the experience of working with it. It was about understanding the process as much as you in a morning, having a go and learning something new. It was also about mindfulness. The sheer quietness of focussing on one thing. Even my boss, said it was the first time she's not thought about a thousand things and how much she enjoyed that silence. As a team it put us all on the same level and we chatted and laughed and supported and encouraged. What more could you want? Sarah was lovely, made you feel very welcome and comfortable within minutes. Very knowledgeable about her craft and humble about her skill. Even when my pot on the wheel took on the form of something else she was encouraging and helped me turn out a slightly more unique but functional piece. Decoration was from a huge range of glazes and we were encouraged to experiment. Everything about the morning was very relaxed, which made it relaxing. At no.point whas there any pressure to be perfect, and you were encouraged to just do something that reflected you. Each of us produced something very different. It was joyous. Honestly loved this morning, the best pottery experience I've had and if I lived nearer I'd be asking for lessons!
