My Son started here in September and came from a "Very good" mainstream school.. This school is a specialist school for the media and production industry, and I can say with my hand on my heart that it has been excellent in its teaching and approach to learning. The teachers are enthusiastic and engaged and our Son is thriving in this fabulous atmosphere. He is so much happier than he was and because of this he is making so much more of an effort in subjects he really enjoys. All the students are encouraged by the wonderful staff who really care about the students they teach.

It is a rare thing to find a teaching establishment that believes in each and every one of their students as individuals, whose staff are totally committed to the young people in their care and who go above and beyond the call of duty. EUTC is vibrant and exciting. The school description above does not reflect how truly wonderful it is. I am a mother of 7 and 3 of my children go here. All are very different characters, all have thrived and been inspired to achieve. I am not saying it is perfect, when there are issues you can Communicate with the staff they will listen and work with you to resolve any and all difficulties. Go and see for yourself. A wonderful nurturing environment, that bristles with excitement and allows each child to really learn and develop as a confident individual Regards Karin

Elstree UTC - A College that Cares My son left mainstream school in 2016 to attend Elstree at just turned 14yrs. He was a quiet reserved boy who had little confidence in himself and his abilities. He was also unhappy in mainstream school and felt under a lot of stress in our ‘Excellent’ rated Ofsted local school. I do not regret for a single moment transferring my son from a local school to Elstree, the staffs unwavering focus to bring out the best in each individual is brilliant, they go above and beyond their roles. My son's confidence has increased ten fold and his grades have improved too, and more than that he enjoys going in each day. I commend the Head Mr Mitchell and his Principal staff for continuing in their goals for improvement, and in providing a safe and secure environment where each student knows they have a voice and their opinions and feelings are valued. The College has a wonderful atmosphere, laughter and music you will hear, for as well as subjects in the production and media industry, music and drama are key subjects too. I always recommend Elstree to all that I meet who say that their children are unhappy in school, and I will continue to do so. Jane Mouldng parent

Very difficult to find the right words to describe what a difference this college has made to my Son’s education and learning experience compared to his previous school. Elstree UTC has harnessed and allowed his practical and creative talent to come to the forefront and grow whilst ensuring that his accedemic achievements are not compromised. As parents we have gone from having a child that hatied going to school, had few friends and a clear lack of self esteem to a popular, confident, respectful individuall. I sometimes have difficulty in getting him to come home as there is always an opportunity at College to “get involved” in projects after lessons have ended. Teachers and Mentors at the College are relentless in their persuit to make a difference! Truly inspiring and dedicated people! If your child is struggling in mainstream school don’t be frightened to take a leap of faith - it could change your child’s future!

What an amazing place . If you want to send your child to a school that cares and takes teaching seriously this is the school for you. They have made a difficult transition very easy, they communicate very well, they are friendly and welcoming. The PTA are a great selection of parents. This is a great place to learn to grow and to have fun. Thanks EUTC.

I was a student at the Elstree UTC up until this past year and was there from the first year of the school's opening, and I can honestly say that without the help and guidence of the fantastic staff that I would never of ended up where I was today. The school has helped me devlop my own skills and help me find passions in things that I would never of dreamed off before I joined. I reccomed the school to anyone who hopes to have a future in the industry.

I came here from a school that didn't suit me at all and wanted something different. That is what I have found here, I have found people who have the same passion as me and it is a more supportive network than I could have imagined in a school. Moving here was the best decision I have ever made and if you want something different and a supportive environment, go here. Want 100% from your teachers, give 100%. You work hard for them and they work hard for you and with you. 5 out of 5 I would do it again!

I think I speak for the majority of the school when I say this place is built on false hope and lies! At the beginning when I joined in year 10 the school was portrayed as an amazing facility which would help me understand the medium i love "film." However, being at this very school almost deterred me from the reason I went there. Staff are ever changing, only to be replaced a month later by anyone the school can get their hands on. There has been an absence of a headteacher for about a year and absence of a good teacher for round about the same time (apart from the female photography teacher and the maths department) On the other hand students are varied and have no respect for teachers or staff or workplace environments. With students breaking all the rules and still being able to attend school just because they want bums on seats. I think its a mistake attending this school and I would reconsider. p.s everyone smokes weed in school and the school does not deserve MACS or expensive equipment as it is mistreated p.s.s apparently the school is racist

Teachers are very judgemental and have a few horrible teachers which play a big part in the school. They also get involved in your personal life when really and truly their job is to make sure you're learning well and progress. Looking a certain way(...) may be difficult as some of the teachers will treat you differently. I would say its just stereotyping and I've had a tough time being here because of the stereotyping. Other than that you DO have a few nice teachers too who will try their best to help you succeed, most of the children are very nice and its a clean environment. The teaching itself I'd say is above average.

Completely lacks professionalism and support for the students. The college is barely functional with one of the worst working environments I've experienced. The majority of staff are unprofessional and rude although others are the only redeeming feature of the school. They have poor communication skills and need a lot of improvement. Due to this college I feel it necessary to retake the year in order to reach a reasonable grade in my work.
